- Tinned fish. Products containing tuna or sardines are not particularly rich in vitamin D and cannot meet the body’s daily requirement (150–250 IU per 100 g of product)
- Wild mushrooms. Chanterelles and morels are particularly rich in vitamin D (800–1200 IU per 100 g of product, depending on the specific species and growing conditions)
- Egg yolk. Thissource is a modest one, but it should be taken into account when calculating the total daily intake (20–40 IU per 100 g of product)
- Beef liver. The vitamin D content in this food is comparable to that of egg yolk (around 15–50 IU per 100 g of food).
Other foods contain only trace amounts of vitamin D and cannot affect its concentration in the body.
Where should you buy vitamin D supplements?
It is best to buy weight-loss vitamins from a pharmacy, and you should look for products that combine vitamin D with antioxidants and trace elements. A holistic approach is always better than taking a single specific substance, as everything in our body is interconnected. You should always consider the whole picture, rather than each individual element in isolation.
It is particularly important for women to monitor their vitamin D levels, so they should choose weight-loss vitamins for women that contain not only vitamin D3 but also iron or iodine. Hormonal balance is directly linked to fluid retention and fat distribution, and vitamin D plays a role in regulating these processes.
